A New Cozy Spot to Sleep

Lately Tanner has been crawling up in the recliner and falling asleep all by himself. Poor Tanner. It's hard work playing all day.

I'll Eat Here Today

Tanner saw that Sissy was sitting at the kitchen table for breakfast so he decided he wanted to also. He looks so grown up sitting there like a big boy.

Again Tanner!

Looks like we caught you red-handed once again.

My New Kitchen Helper

Now that Tanner has figured out he can push a chair up to the counter he insists on helping Mommy cook.

It looks like this chicken could use a little more bread crumbs.

Bam! That's what I'm talking about!

Yep....looks good. Mommy will appreciate my help.

I Love Syrup

Tanner loves syrup. In fact, every time the pantry door is opened (which now has a child-proof lock) he runs for the maple syrup. He reminds us of Buddy the Elf. If you've never seen the movie "Elf" then check out this movie clip from YouTube. http://youtu.be/zQrrp5JL8MI

Mine! Mine! It's all mine!!Sucking as much syrup he can before he gets in trouble. From the looks of his eyes I'd say he's had way too much.

My 1st Trip to the Iowa State Fair

This was Tanner's first trip to the Iowa State Fair and we were so excitied for him. Since he absoultley loves animals we knew he would have a blast just like we all do.

Finally...we have arrived at our desination!!!!
First stop, a yummy, warm cup o'cookies. They are awesome!!
Tan got to meet Clifford too!
Then it was time to move on to the petting zoo. Just look at Tanner's face. He's loving this cow.
Checking out the goats.
Petting every goat he could reach.
Watching the ducks.
Tanner decided he couldn't see enough of the action so he had to turn himself around in the wagon. After all, he didn't want to miss anything.
One day old baby pigs.
Tanner was so exicted to see the baby pigs that he almost jumped right out of my arms.

Of course the fair is famous for all the foods-on-a-stick. Here's Tanner trying out an egg on a stick.
Looks like the fair wore Tanner out. Guess that means he had a great time!!

Poor Tanner

Poor Tanner fell asleep during dinner the other night.

Tanner is 1 Year Old!!

I know, his birthday was two weeks ago, but we never got around to taking his 1-year old birthday sign picture so here it is!

Another Food Network Star in the Making

Now that Tanner has figured out he can climb on the kitchen chairs he wants to help Mommy with dinner each night.

Life of the Party

Tanner's new facination is to put anything and everything on his head. Last night it was the trash can from our bedroom and today it was a toy drum. And of course he's laughing the whole time he's doing it!

Ha! Ha!
I'm so funny!!!

Carson Parade & Rodeo

Saturday we made our way to Carson, IA, for their annual parade and rodeo. This was our first time attending so we were all excited to go.

Hanging out with Pa before the parade starts.
Watching the horses.
Yumm.....eating an Icee freezer pop which he stole from Mattie.Tanner & Cousin Gaven are planning their plan of attack for the next candy throw.
Rodeo time! Yee Haw!!!
This was the first time Tanner had ever seen fireworks. Although I couldn't get a picture of his face he could not keep his eyes off of them.

Tanner's Bithday Party

We celebrated Tanner's birthday on the Sunday August 1st since his actual birthday fell in the middle of the week. We have been so busy with everything that I'm just now getting around to posting some of the pictures. It was a great day and no one could believe how fast the year had gone.

The loot.Reading on of his birthday cards.
Going for a ride even though this is really a wagon for sand toys.
Cake time!
Tanner's curious about his little cake.
Yum...so good!
I'm just going to dig right in.

Huh? You say there's a little cake on my face?

One satisfied birthday boy.Happy 1st Birthday Tanner!!!!!
