A Family Traditon

When we found out we were having a boy Jon's mom showed us the coming home outfit that Jon & his brother Craig wore home. I had intended on putting Tanner in it as well but since he was in a hurry to get here I just grabbed the first outfit I could find as we dashed off to the hospital. So once he was home we were able to take a few pictures of him wearing Daddy & Uncle Craig's outfit.

As I came out of the bathroom today I heard Tanner crying so I went to check on him. This is what I found.
Hmm..this is interesting. I thought to myself, "well maybe he wiggled his arm out the pajamas they are too big after all". Then I asked Mattie how Tanner's arm ended up like that and she very bluntly said, "Mattie do it". Poor Tanner. At least Mattie is trying to comfort him.

2 Week Check-Up

Tanner had his 2 week check-up yesterday and everything is perfect! Here's his stats:


Weight: 9lbs. 14oz (75th percentile)

Height: 22 1/2 inches (90th percentile) Which means he's grown 1 1/2 inches since birth.


WHOA!!! But then again, if he's going to play hockey he needs to be big.

It's My Cuckoo & Pa!!

Cuckoo & Pa (Tanner's Great-Grandma & Great-Grandpa) stopped by last night. My sister & I have always called them Cuckoo & Pa so now Mattie is starting to call them that & I can't wait until Tanner does too.

Tanner has Arrived!!!

Tanner Wayne made his appearance on August 4th. His due date was August 14th and I was scheduled for a c-section on August 12th. However Tanner had plans of his own. Here's a brief run-down of what happened.

On Monday, August 3rd I had an ultra-sound at my doctor's appointment. These have been fairly routine for a while now but on this day they couldn't get Tanner to move at all. This alarmed the doctor so I was sent to the hospital just to be monitored. After a few hours of good movement from Tanner I was sent home. At 9:00pm my water broke!! So we were off to the hospital again and Tanner was born!

Here are his stats:

Weight: 9lbs. 6oz

Height: 21 inches long

Hair: dark

Eyes: too hard to tell yet

He's absolutely perfect in every way!!!!
